The Wirksworth Transition Initiative
Transition Initiatives are where communities work together to create a ’road map’ for a sustainable future, including energy production, health, education and food production. The reuse of textiles is also an important part of this.
Through the Sewing Group on a Tuesday, we will also be involving the wider community by showcasing collaborative textile pieces made from recycled fabrics at the annual Wirksworth Festival and other local events.
